My name is Melissa and I’m currently finishing up my MSc in Publishing in Scotland, and before that I received my Hons. BA in Journalism and English Literature from the University of Toronto. I am Canadian and will be moving back to Toronto at the end of August after my year in the UK (cross that off the bucket list). If you couldn’t tell from my choice of study I love books! Not just the finished copy either; this past year has taught me to love the entire process of creating a book – from start to finish. Other than books, my passions lie with hockey (Toronto Maple Leafs fan), pop-culture, and travelling.
From book reviews to upcoming movie adaptations – and anything book related really – you are sure to see something on Journey Through the Pages.
I like reading pretty much every genre (except maybe horror, but I haven’t tried much of it so I’m open to suggestions!) – YA and contemporary adult novels are probably my favourite.
I’m always open to book recommendations so let me know if you want to see anything reviewed or just anything I should read in general!
“Books are the ultimate Dumpees: put them down and they’ll wait for you forever; pay attention to them and they always love you back.”
-John Green, An Abundance of Katherines
