Book lovers in Toronto have something to get excited about. The Book Lover’s Ball is back for its seventh year.
This year the ball will be held on the 9th of February. The ball combines books, fashion, and good food from famous chef David Rocco to help raise money for Toronto’s Library.
This year the event has drawn about 20 authors, including Canadian best selling author Miriam Toews. Past years have drawn in other popular authors such as Margaret Atwood and Jane Urquhart, amongst others.
This is a large social event that has gained a lot of press in the past from different media outlets in Toronto and will hopefully continue to do the same for the years to come.
The night, being called the Book Lover’s Ball, has a literary focused agenda planned for the guests. Events include a silent auction, interviews with authors, a raffle, and the night ends with a “Novel Inspired Fashion Show,” which will feature designs from Canadian designers.
This is a chance for book lovers to mingle with authors and chat them up about anything you want, on top of giving back to Toronto’s Library.
